‘Hraparak’: The Divide Between the Authorities and ‘Bright Armenia’ is Deepening

‘Hraparak’ newspaper reports that the rift between the authorities and ‘Bright Armenia’ is deepening. The conflict arising from the budget is manifesting in other arenas as well. Lilith Makunts’ scheduled meeting with the Armenian community on November 19 during her trip to the USA has been moved to November 18, the same day and nearly the same time as Edmon Marukyan’s meeting invitation. According to members of the Bright Armenia faction, this was done to ensure that as few people as possible would attend the opposition MP's meeting and hear criticism of the Armenian authorities.

Furthermore, most journalists will cover not the opposition but the government MP's gathering. Additionally, Marukyan is reportedly seeking clarification from Makunts. She has stated that the date change was due to other unplanned meetings and was not intentional.
