Criminal Cases Against Threats to MPs Have Been Suspended
Criminal cases regarding threats made against MPs Gayane Abrahamyan and Sophia Hovsepyan from the 'My Step' faction have been suspended. This was reported by the Information and Public Relations Department of the Investigative Committee in response to an inquiry from Armtimes.com.
The cases were suspended under Article 31(1)(1) of the RA Criminal Procedure Code, which states that the individual to be charged is unknown.
It is worth noting that these criminal cases were initiated in April 2019. Threats against Gayane Abrahamyan were made by a user named 'Robert Avagian', while threats against Sophia Hovsepyan came from a user named 'Maralik Qaxaq'. In total, two criminal cases were opened at the Investigative Committee based on the characteristics of Article 137 of the RA Criminal Code (threat of murder, causing serious harm to health, or destruction of property).
