«I Do Not Exclude Any Political Forces»: Arayik Harutyunyan on Cooperation with Samvel Babayan
I have no issues with anyone; if a person lives in Artsakh, then they are already a friend to me.
This was stated today by Arayik Harutyunyan, the President of the ‘Free Homeland’ party, during a conversation with reporters regarding his relationship with Samvel Babayan.
“As for the National Assembly’s rejection of Babayan's initiative, the reasons are varied. Regardless of the parliament's stance, he still wouldn’t have been able to participate on this agenda. He chose another path and created the party he leads,” Harutyunyan said.
When asked if he rules out cooperation with this political force, he noted, “All political forces that are willing to work on this agenda, we are obliged to cooperate with. If everyone's goal is the same, I do not exclude any political force; the agenda is what matters.”
Regarding Serzh Sargsyan’s statement about his potential arrest and the attitude of the Artsakh people on this matter, Harutyunyan responded, “I do not want to comment on each statement or what he meant, but the fact that the reforms of the justice system are difficult and facing resistance, yet they are progressing, is evident. I am confident that no one will be unjustly arrested or punished in the Republic of Armenia.”
