Arayik Harutyunyan, President of the Free Homeland Party, to Run in Artsakh Presidential Elections
The seventh congress of the Free Homeland Party has commenced. In his speech, party president Arayik Harutyunyan stated that all of their previous programs have been based on the citizen, and while they have successfully implemented many initiatives, numerous issues remain unresolved.
“The people have entrusted us because we have always been honest with them. This congress will open a new political chapter for our party, as we are preparing to present our own candidate for the upcoming national elections for the first time; this is the highest standard we can set. I want to declare with full responsibility that we have all the prerequisites to take on the political responsibility of our country while collaborating with other political forces,” he said.
Arayik Harutyunyan noted that it is difficult to imagine the future of Artsakh without the unity of Armenia, Artsakh, and the Diaspora. The party president also revealed that the number of party members has surpassed 7,000. Thus, for the upcoming presidential elections in Artsakh in 2020, the party will present the candidacy of Arayik Harutyunyan, which was unanimously approved.
