Levon Aronian Wins Silver, Anna Avagyan Takes Gold at European Championships

In the recently concluded European Team Championships in Batumi, Levon Aronian earned 5 points out of a possible 8 on the first board, securing an individual silver medal. This was reported by the press service of the Chess Federation.

The best performance on the first board was shown by Dmitry Andreikin.

It is worth noting that in the European Team Championships, Anna Sargsyan, a member of the Armenian women's team, achieved the best result on the fourth board, earning 7 points out of 8 possible and winning an individual gold medal. She is set to be awarded the title of Women's Grandmaster at the upcoming FIDE Congress.

Furthermore, it should be mentioned that the Armenian men's team finished in 4th place, while the women's team secured 7th place.
