Pashinyan Excludes Conspiracies Regarding the Nagorno-Karabakh Issue
The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, has ruled out any conspiracies regarding the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. He made this statement during a live broadcast on his Facebook page.
“Conspiracies regarding the Nagorno-Karabakh issue are out of the question because the Nagorno-Karabakh issue is not just my issue, nor is it the issue of a group; it is a national issue. I have stated that any solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh issue must be acceptable to the people of Armenia, the people of Nagorno-Karabakh, and the people of Azerbaijan. My main task is to search for and find a solution that is acceptable to the people of Armenia at the negotiating table. When a solution is formulated during the negotiation process that I can consider acceptable for the Armenian people, I will present this solution to our people, and we will hold a national discussion on it. Decisions must be made in a national format,” said Pashinyan.
The Prime Minister also mentioned that, if necessary, the proposed solution could be put to a referendum or not. He noted that there are also other options available.
