4 servicemen claim the governor was present: Investigative Committee chairman on the assault of Mikayelyan

What new information is available regarding the incident of brutal assault against Lieutenant Colonel Ara Mikayelyan in Vayots Dzor? Journalists in the corridors of the National Assembly posed this question to Haik Grigoryan, the chairman of the Investigative Committee of Armenia.

“The prosecutor's office initiated criminal proceedings regarding this case. After questioning a number of individuals, we sent the case to the prosecutor's office for discussion on whether the gathered evidence is sufficient to initiate a new case or not. Here we have conflicting information, as 4 servicemen assert that the governor was present there. We also have a camera located in front of the governor's office. According to the footage, he entered the building at 22:30 and exited at 00:30,” Grigoryan stated.

He noted that the investigation into this case has not yet concluded.
