Criminal Case Launched at Football Federation
The main department of the police's organized crime fight initiated a study last week at the Football Federation of Armenia and has been preparing materials regarding illegal entrepreneurship. A criminal case has already been launched based on the prepared materials. This information was provided to the ‘Fact-checking Platform’ by the police's press service.
On October 12, Fip.am published an investigation titled ‘Ruben Hayrapetyan's Company: Developer of Football Academies’, revealing that all football academies operating in Armenia were constructed by a single company, ‘Zeytuni Furniture Factory’ LLC, which is owned by the former president of the Football Federation of Armenia, Ruben Hayrapetyan.
The police reported that the criminal case has been forwarded to the State Revenue Committee's investigative department, which informed the media that they have not yet received such a case. Officials at the Football Federation are also not aware of the criminal case being initiated.
