Turkey Forcibly Sending Hundreds of Refugees Back to Syria

Turkey is deceiving or forcing hundreds of Syrian refugees to return to Syria. This claim is found in a recent report published by the human rights organization "Amnesty International," titled "Sent to a War Zone: The Illegal Return of Refugees from Turkey," as reported by Ermenihaber.

The organization provided details about the "voluntary return" of refugees that started ahead of Turkey's initiated military operation, "Operation Peace Spring." The report indicates that a significant number of refugees are signing the "voluntary return" documents under duress, while others are misled into signing these documents, for example, being told that they need to sign to receive new supplies or other necessities from the governing bodies.

The organization also reports that since July, efforts have been made to facilitate the return of many refugees, but there are no official statistics on how many refugees have signed these documents and returned to Syria.
