Serious Reorganization Has Occurred in Azerbaijan: Vardan Voskanyan
Politologist Vardan Voskanyan has written on his Facebook page: "If we want to present in a very clear and unpretentious manner who the recently dismissed head of the Baku dictator's administration, Ramiz Mehdiyev, really was and what kind of influence he had on Azerbaijan's domestic and foreign policy, we should use the term 'guardian' as a medieval political concept. That is, this influential political figure was actually the guardian of the Baku dictator, a kind of throne keeper, who, originating from the Sharur region of Nakhchivan, was close to his father, considering the clear clan nature of the Azerbaijani power system, and with the prospect of politically nurturing and growing Ilham Aliyev. In any case, Ramiz Mehdiyev has departed. Whether he has become senile or the Baku dictator has risen in stature is, in my opinion, an open question. Perhaps it's both. However, the fact is that a serious governmental reorganization has taken place within the formation known as Azerbaijan, which must be closely monitored and analyzed to understand."
