Sedrak Arustamyan Underwent Knee Surgery, Appears in Court
The Court of Appeals today examined the prosecutor's appeal regarding the decision to change the preventive measure for Sedrak Arustamyan, director of the Multi Group concern, to a bail of 20 million drams. The decision will be announced on Monday.
Arustamyan has been charged under Articles 38-189, part 3 (creating, organizing or leading a financial pyramid) and 38-205, part 2 (failure to pay taxes or mandatory payments) of the RA Criminal Code.
He arrived at the court using a cane. When reporters inquired about the reason for using a cane, Arustamyan replied, “I underwent knee surgery.”
When asked for his predictions regarding the court's decision, he stated, “I am not Nostradamus, but I am confident that I am innocent, I haven’t committed any crime, and I believe the court will make the right decision,” he noted.
