Kocharian Discharged from Izmirlian Medical Center
Robert Kocharian, the second President of Armenia, who had been hospitalized for about a week at Izmirlian Medical Center, has been discharged and transferred to the Yerevan-Center Penitentiary. This was announced to NEWS.am by the chief physician of Izmirlian Medical Center, Armen Charchyan.
According to Charchyan, Kocharian has recovered and is feeling well. It is noteworthy that Kocharian underwent surgery at Izmirlian Medical Center on October 9.
Kocharian is accused in the March 1 case of overthrowing the constitutional order and receiving bribes in particularly large amounts. The second president has been detained three times, the last being on June 25, following a decision by Court of Appeal judge Armen Danielyan.
