«Hraparak» newspaper writes: "After the revolution, individuals who came to power sent their sons to the army publicly, even to Artsakh, as an example for others. True, within a year, their sons have returned home several times on leave, which is inaccessible to regular servicemen, but it is a fact that to this day, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s son, Ashot, and Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan’s son, Edgar, are serving in Artsakh.

Meanwhile, it turns out that other officials have not 'caught' this example so much. The former Deputy Minister of Diaspora, now Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Vahagn Melikyan’s son serves in the Ministry of Defense, accompanying international guests. The spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense confirmed this information in our conversation: 'Vahagn Melikyan’s son came to the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia voluntarily; he possesses exceptional knowledge, expertise, and education. Yes, he is serving in the Department of Defense Policy. He not only receives and accompanies guests, but that is also one of his functions.'
