Republican Party Impedes Authorities, It Is Logical and Objective: Ashotyan
No anti-government force or center will be able to alone defeat the 'devil'. This was stated by the vice-president of the Republican Party of Armenia, Armen Ashotyan, in a post on his Facebook page.
The post notably states: 'The fact that the Republican Party impedes the current authorities is logical and objective. We not only preserved the party but also continue to be one of the significant actors in the country’s political agenda, even now, in extra-parliamentary status, since the first day of regime change.' The surprising thing is different. In the non-governmental sector, which long consisted of Republicans who never ceased to fight, supporters of Robert Kocharyan, and several civic initiatives, new political units have emerged, which periodically seem to feel that the 'former ones' are obstructing them.
'I have said it before and I repeat two key theses: 1. No anti-government force or center will be able to alone defeat the 'devil'. 2. No anti-Nikol front will be effective and strong without the Republican Party. Everything else is 'from the devil'. Can you prove the opposite in practice? Please try, but without futile attempts to position yourselves at our expense. If you can’t, then let the man stick to his work and not disturb the possible natural consolidation with fruitless ambitions.'
