Political Stabilization Process in Syria Will Be Difficult but Not Impossible, Says Putin
Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated that the political stabilization process in Syria will be difficult but not impossible. This was reported by RIA Novosti.
“I repeat, it is not an easy process, it is difficult. But in my opinion, it is possible. And do you know what makes me think positively? The fact that today many people are returning to their native homes. We are talking about thousands of people,” Putin said in an interview with Al Arabiya, Sky News Arabia, and RT Arabic.
According to Putin, this indicates that people trust the situation and the governments currently present in Syria. He also mentioned that the local population has a high level of trust in their military police, which mainly consists of Muslim individuals from the North Caucasus, and many are seeking protection from them.
