Over $4 Million Spent on Organizing the WCIT 2019 Conference

The budget allocated for organizing the "World Congress on Information Technology 2019" amounted to 1,568,487,000 AMD (over $3.2 million), of which 112,092,000 was solely for organizational expenses, according to hraparak.am.

Additionally, 450 million AMD ($941,422) was allocated from the budget for the concert that marked the opening of the conference. In total, the funds allocated for both the conference and the concert amounted to 2,018,487,000 AMD ($4,222,776).

The decision to allocate additional funds was made at the government meeting on September 26, which revealed that there was a need for 450 million AMD from the government’s reserve fund intended for cultural events during the days of organizing the conference in 2019.
