Citizen Injured in Hit-and-Run Dies Without Regaining Consciousness

On October 5, a fatal hit-and-run incident occurred in the Gegharkunik region. Around 6:00 PM, a 59-year-old citizen of the Republic of Artsakh, Edward G., while reversing his Ford Transit vehicle (license plate number 21 LТ 962) on the first street of neighborhood A in the village of Verin Getashen, struck an 82-year-old local resident, Zarkhalam S.

According to photographer Gagik Shamshyan, the driver did not flee the scene, while the victim was transported to the Martuni Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries without regaining consciousness after an hour and a half.
