16-Year-Old Girl Struck by Vehicle in Artashat

Today, October 5, a vehicular accident occurred in the Ararat region. Around 5:00 PM, a 35-year-old resident of Yerevan, Lusine G., driving a Honda sedan with license plate 35 MR 637, struck a pedestrian, 16-year-old Gemma K., a resident of the Ararat region, at the intersection of August 23 and Mravyan streets in the city of Artashat.

According to photographer Gagik Shamshyan, the driver did not flee the scene and assisted in transporting the injured girl to the "Artashat" medical center. Officers from the second squad of the traffic police's first battalion arrived at the scene, led by squad commander Edgar Suslyan and platoon commander Karapet Harutyunyan.

The senior investigator of this squad, Margar Margarayan, oversaw the investigative work on-site, and materials are being prepared regarding the incident.
