Mother and Son Struck by Car while Crossing the Street at an Unauthorized Area

Today, on October 3, a pedestrian accident occurred in Yerevan. Around 21:25, the driver of an Opel vehicle with license plate number 32 LO 484 struck two pedestrians crossing the street at an unauthorized area on Vagharsyan Street 1.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shashyan who reported from the scene, the driver did not flee but assisted the victims with the help of bystanders. Subsequently, emergency services and medical personnel from Yerevan's 1-03 ambulance unit arrived promptly to transport the victims to the number 1 university hospital.

Those present at the scene reported that the injured were a mother and her son, and that local residents provided both psychological and medical assistance to the victims while waiting for the ambulance to arrive.
