Suicide Attempt by Russian Citizen Prevented in Yeghegnadzor
On October 2, at 10:17 AM, a call was received by the Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations’ 911 service reporting that an individual was attempting to jump from the balcony of the fourth floor of Building 51 on Jermuk Highway in Yeghegnadzor, and that rescue assistance was needed.
A firefighting and rescue squad from the regional rescue department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene. It was determined that a citizen from the fourth floor apartment was attempting to jump off the balcony.
Rescuers, in cooperation with bystanders and police officers, successfully prevented the suicide attempt of Arthur A., a Russian citizen born in 1978. The rescuers handed the individual over to the police.
