Inspection Visits in Yerevan's Transport

Employees of the Yerevan Municipality's "Yerevan Transport" LLC are conducting inspection visits on public transport routes serving the capital. The city hall reports that on-site checks involve verifying the presence of a mechanic's seal on the vouchers, the validity of drivers' licenses, as well as ensuring that the external appearance of the vehicles and the conditions required for passenger compartments are upheld.

During a recent inspection round, checks were carried out on routes number 13, 57, and 99. Throughout the inspection on microbus route 99, a number of external and internal deficiencies were identified. Specifically, the passenger compartments of some vehicles were found to be unsanitary and neglected. Those vehicles were subsequently removed from the route.

During the inspection visits, the company's employees urged drivers once again not to smoke while behind the wheel and reminded them that violation of established rules may result in administrative penalties.

The inspection visits will be ongoing, and all routes will be examined.
