I Will Say What I Said During the Preliminary Investigation: Torosyan on Sanasaryan's Case

I do not believe there is any connection between Arthur Vanetsyan's resignation and Davit Sanasaryan's case; this is an imaginary link. This was stated by Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan during a conversation with reporters after a government session today, September 26.

When asked if he is prepared to appear in court regarding Davit Sanasaryan's case and, if necessary, testify, the minister replied, 'As a law-abiding citizen of the Republic of Armenia, I am ready to comply with any decision of the court. I will likely say what I said during the preliminary investigation and will respond to questions if necessary.'

Recall that on April 18 of this year, the National Security Service (NSS) reported that the head of the State Audit Office, Davit Sanasaryan, has been charged under part 1 of Article 308 of the RA Criminal Code.

'Sufficient evidence has been obtained in the criminal case, which prima facie indicates that, acting as the head of the State Audit Office, he used his official position contrary to the interests of the service to promote the entrepreneurial activities of a company effectively managed by his employees, based on group interests. He also failed to fulfill his official duties,' the NSS reported.
