«Joghavorut». «I Can’t Stand It». Rustam Badanyan Initiates Disciplinary Proceedings Against More Than Ten Judges
«Joghavorut» newspaper reports: Minister of Justice Rustam Badanyan has initiated disciplinary proceedings against more than ten judges. However, note that the ministry is keeping secret which specific judges the proceedings have been initiated against.
«Joghavorut» has learned that two of the cases initiated by the minister have reached the Supreme Judicial Council. According to our information, the issue of holding Elena Kocharyan, a judge of the General Jurisdiction Court of Ararat and Vayots Dzor regions, and Ashot Khachikyan, a judge of the General Jurisdiction Court of Kotayk region, accountable for disciplinary actions has been sent to the SCJ.
Khachikyan denies the accusations against him. He told «Joghavorut»: «Instead of encouraging me and thanking me for my contribution as I turn 65 years old... I have never had any screaming issues during anyone's tenure. I can’t stand it anymore, the idea is not sufficient anymore.»
