VIDEO: Prime Minister and Anna Hakobyan Attend the Opening of the Renovated Holy See
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Mrs. Anna Hakobyan attended the ceremonial opening of the renovated Vahran on September 18 at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, the residence of the Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians.
According to the information and public relations department of the Prime Minister's office, the ceremony was presided over by His Holiness Karekin II, the Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians.
Nikol Pashinyan and Anna Hakobyan participated in the blessing ceremony held in the chapel of the Holy Father, as well as the unveiling of the memorial plaque near the central entrance of the Vahran and the cancellation of the stamps issued to commemorate the opening of the Vahran.
Following the ceremony, the Prime Minister and his wife toured the Vahran, familiarizing themselves with the results of the renovation work carried out.
The Vahran, the seat of the Supreme Patriarchs of All Armenians, was built a century ago under the patronage of Alexander Mantashyan. The renovation and reconstruction work of the Vahran complex was completed with the donation of Samvel Karapetyan and the Karapetyan family.
