Fact: Amulsar – A New ‘Electric Yerevan’
According to the 'Fact' newspaper, the authorities, realizing that they are literally 'giving up' on the Amulsar issue, have initiated various options to 'water down' the topic to distract public attention. The government has understood that the series of 'scandalous arrests' is no longer effective and is trying to present the public with new 'scenes'. However, the fact remains that environmentalists and local residents from Jermuk are quite resolute and do not intend to back down.
Moreover, there are discussions that the fight against Amulsar exploitation has all the prerequisites to become a new 'Electric Yerevan'. Massive protests are expected in the upcoming days, which will also see the participation of several well-known figures, including those from the showbiz industry. According to government sources, this was reported to Pashinyan, highlighting the potential political risks that could arise.
It is no coincidence that during the march held the day before, the protesters chanted demands for Pashinyan's resignation.
