Court Decides to Re-Arrest Levon Sargsyan

The Yerevan City Court of General Jurisdiction, presided over by Judge Harutyun Manukyan, today, on September 13, made a decision to grant the Investigator of the Investigative Committee's request to arrest Levon Sargsyan, the brother of former President Serzh Sargsyan, who is accused of money laundering.

Naira Harutyunyan, head of the Information and Public Relations Department of the Investigative Committee, informed NEWS.am about this.

Thus, it turns out that two arrest orders have been issued against him in connection with criminal cases being investigated by two different investigative bodies.

The matter is that in a criminal case initiated a year ago at the Special Investigative Service, which involves charges against Levon Sargsyan of illegal enrichment and concealing property subject to declaration, the court had already made an arrest decision.
