Human Rights Defender's Rapid Response Team Deployed to Shengavit Police Department
By the instruction of the Human Rights Defender, a rapid response team has been deployed to the Shengavit Police Department in connection with an incident that occurred near the courthouse. This has been reported by the staff of the Human Rights Defender.
Individual interviews will be conducted at the police department with those who have been detained, and the situation regarding the assurance of their rights, as well as the grounds for their deprivation of liberty, will be examined.
It is noteworthy that today, in parallel with the first hearing of the case involving the second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan, several individuals were detained during protest actions outside the courthouse.
