Defense Attorneys Request Court to Release Kocharyan

Shortly ago, the defense attorneys of Robert Kocharyan submitted a request to the court to change his pre-trial detention, citing the decision made by the Constitutional Court on September 4.

The motion was presented by Aram Orbelyan. Citing the Constitutional Court's decision, he stated that Article 35, under which Robert Kocharyan was detained, has been deemed unconstitutional.

According to the defense, based on the Constitutional Court's ruling, the court should release Robert Kocharyan and not impose any other preventive measures against him until the completion of the trial.
