Protest Against Amulsar Mine Operation to Begin at 18:30
Today at 18:30, a protest against the operation of the Amulsar mine will start in the yard of the National Assembly. Prior to this, as evidenced by photographs shared by Facebook users, the police have been gathering additional forces in the surrounding area.
Political scientist Stepan Danielyan posted a photo with the remark: "It turns out that the government is afraid of the very masses that brought it to power." Meanwhile, another mayor, Hayk Martirosyan, shared another photo, adding: "Two hours before the protest march, the yard of the National Assembly and the surrounding areas are being filled with police forces by the non-violent, democratic, velvet, Lydian-offshore government."
