Khachatryan's Protégé Appointed Head of Hayinkasatsia: New Revelations

The National Security Service (NSS) continues to investigate the case against former head of the State Revenue Committee, Gagik Khachatryan, while his close associates are receiving appointments.

According to ArmDaily.am, recently, Armen Gabrielyan, who is a former Minister of Finance and a protégé of Gagik Khachatryan, has been appointed as the head of Hayinkasatsia LLC.

Gabrielyan initially worked with Khachatryan in the tax service and later at the Ministry of Finance. Now, following the arrest of his mentor, he has been appointed to a position that is not deemed less “lucrative.”

When asked about the accuracy of Gabrielyan’s appointment and when it occurred, the press secretary of the Central Bank, Harutyun Berberyan, suggested sending a written inquiry. However, attempts to contact Armen Gabrielyan through the provided phone number of Hayinkasatsia were unsuccessful.

It should be noted that Gagik Khachatryan has been taken into custody by the NSS investigative department on charges of offenses specified in parts 2 and 3, item 1 of Article 308 and Article 179 of the RA Criminal Code (abuse of power resulting in serious consequences and misappropriation of property on an especially large scale).
