The Operation of Drivers with Russian Driver's Licenses in Armenia Will Be Regulated by Reciprocity
Today, a new law was presented to the National Assembly that will regulate the entrepreneurial or employment activities related to operating transportation vehicles with foreign national or international driver's licenses, except in cases of international transportation.
This prohibition will not apply based on the principle of reciprocity to citizens of EAEU member states.
"I believe you are aware that Armenian citizens have this issue in the Russian Federation, and this problem has not been resolved for a long time as Russian authorities have yet to properly advance the legislation. We are moving forward and explicitly stating that if reciprocity is ensured, we will also apply this exemption to citizens of CIS member states," said Deputy Chief of Police Hovhannes Kocharyan, who presented the bill during the parliamentary discussion.
