Parliament Approves Draft Law on Massage Parlors
The National Assembly of Armenia approved in the first reading the draft law on amendments to the "Law on Trade and Services," which proposes to prohibit the establishment of massage parlors in residential areas of multi-apartment buildings, as well as in the vicinity of educational and historical-cultural institutions, administrative buildings of state and local self-government bodies, and medical facilities.
The draft law was authored by deputies Sergey Bagratyan and Hovhannes Hovhannisyan. According to Sergey Bagratyan, the authority to grant permission for the operation of massage parlors will be reserved for the community leader, and in Yerevan, for the Mayor of Yerevan.
