«Irates». This Autumn Will Be the Last for Marutyan
«Irates» newspaper writes: “It is said that this autumn will be the last for Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan. He will submit his resignation, which Nikol Pashinyan will be forced to accept (the ‘Decent Hayko’ has already resigned twice, but Nikol did not accept it). The dire situation in urban management, transportation, and waste collection has left Pashinyan with no other option, becoming one of the serious reasons for the decline of his rating.
The scenario is said to unfold as follows: The Yerevan Council will not be able to elect a mayor from among its members twice, because there is no economic organizer among the existing ones, and then ‘My Step’ will collapse from within (many will engage in this task), and Pashinyan will no longer have the authority to appoint yet another ‘poly-pet’ candidate as mayor. The only solution will be new mayoral elections, which will not end victoriously for ‘My Step’, as Pashinyan’s rating at that time, according to opposition sources in the Yerevan Council, will already be below twenty percent.”
