5 Million Dollar Prize Fund Science Fair Announced by Araik Harutyunyan

A science fair will be held for school students. This was announced by Araik Harutyunyan on his Facebook page.

The minister notes in his post: "Dear teachers and students, a school science fair will take place during the 2019-2020 academic year. The winners of this fair will present their projects at the International Science and Engineering Fair to be held in the USA in May 2020, where the prize fund for the competition amounts to 5 million USD.

The purpose of the school science fair is to instill interest in scientific research among school-aged youth, to develop skills in group work, the implementation of innovative projects, and the presentation of these projects.

Participants in the school science fair, whether individual or research groups (up to 3 students), with the support of a scientific supervisor and advisor, must carry out the research project they propose during the academic year, presenting the results in the final phase of the fair. During the final phase, the research project presented by the students will be evaluated by a professional commission.
