No Precipitation in the Last 20 Days, Forecasted for the Next 5 Days: Gagik Surenyan
The head of the Meteorological Center of Armenia's Ministry of Emergency Situations, Gagik Surenyan, urges the public to adhere to fire safety regulations.
“Dear compatriots, there has been almost no precipitation in the republic for the last 20 days, and none is forecasted for the next 5 days. The air temperature is 4-5 degrees higher than normal for this time of year and is not expected to decrease significantly in the coming days. Due to these factors, a high fire risk situation has developed across almost the entire territory of the republic, which will not alleviate in the coming days. Therefore, we urge you to follow fire safety rules; any carelessness with fire on your part could lead to disastrous fires,” he wrote on his Facebook page.
