Protest Against Amulsar Mine Exploitation

A rally is currently taking place in Jermuk against the exploitation of the Amulsar mine. The residents of Jermuk emphasize the need to fight and convince the government to reconsider its intention to exploit the Amulsar mine.

The participants of the rally referred to the investigation presented by the Investigative Committee, pointing out that no scientist had come to study the site in person, and the examination was conducted only on paper.

“Neither the investors nor those granting permits will live here; we will live here, along with our children and grandchildren, and the whole world will come here for recreation. As an entire community, we are against the exploitation of this mine,” said one of the rally participants.

The residents of Jermuk state that Amulsar has already become a political issue, requiring a political decision that can only be made by the Prime Minister.
