Who is the newly appointed Deputy Head of the Investigative Committee?
As we reported earlier, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has signed a new decision appointing Arsen Ayvazyan as the Deputy Head of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia.
The newly appointed deputy has appeared in the media on various occasions. Months ago, there were rumors that Arsen Ayvazyan was vying for the position of Chief of Police of Armenia. Armdaily.am reports that Ayvazyan has a good reputation among professionals.
He became known a few years ago after an incident at a kindergarten in Armavir, where a citizen took a 2.5-year-old child hostage. Ayvazyan, who was then the Head of Police in Armavir Province, negotiated with the hostage-taker for several hours and saved the child's life.
It is noteworthy that Ayvazyan is a protégé of Ara Zohrabyan, the head of the Bar Association, who has actively engaged in lobbying for Ayvazyan and supported him in every possible way.
