White House's Official Facebook Page Features 'Old' Armenian 100 Dram Alongside Dollar and Yuan
The White House's official Facebook page has shared a post that includes a collage of images depicting various national currencies. Among them, the American dollar, the Chinese yuan, and the Armenian dram can be seen in the lower right corner.
The presence of the dram in the image has sparked intense discussions among Armenian users on the internet. Political scientist Suren Sargsyan commented, "I don't quite know how to feel when the official White House page publishes content featuring the dollar, the yuan, and the Armenian 100 dram, which is no longer in circulation. Please do not mix our currency into your trade wars."
The image features the Armenian 100 dram banknote, which has already been withdrawn from circulation, next to the dollar and the yuan.
