5 Million Dram Allocated for Carpet Washing on Baghramyan Avenue
On July 28, during the Vardavar holiday, a carpet washing ceremony took place on Baghramyan Avenue. According to a statement shared on the National Assembly's Facebook page, the event was initiated by MP Hripsime Grigoryan, who, as reported later by the media, only participated in her own event for a few minutes.
168.am submitted an inquiry to the National Assembly, requesting information about how much money was spent to implement this event. The National Assembly informed us that during the celebration of the Vardavar holiday, under the initiative of MP Hripsime Grigoryan, carpet dissemination activities took place, including carpet washing, demonstrations, and carpet-making workshops.
“Baghramyan Avenue was temporarily closed to traffic to ensure the safety of citizens during the Vardavar celebrations. A total of 4,941,300 AMD was allocated for the event,” the National Assembly's response stated.
