Illegal, Unlabeled Drugs Discovered by the State Revenue Committee
The Investigation and Operational Intelligence Division of the State Revenue Committee has uncovered a case of illegal activity within the framework of its functions aimed at preventing and detecting tax violations, as reported by the Public Relations and Information Department of the RA SRC.
Specifically, following the operational information received, the department's employees, as a result of extensive operational and intelligence measures, discovered unlabelled drugs obtained illegally, including those intended for cancer treatment, in the basement of a pharmacy located on Hrachya Kochar Street in Yerevan.
A criminal case has been initiated based on the materials prepared in relation to the incident, under part 2 of Article 210 of the RA Criminal Code. During the investigation of the criminal case, an inspection was conducted in the pharmacy area, during which the drugs were seized for further examination. Relevant measures are being taken to identify individuals involved in the crime, as well as the sources of procurement of the mentioned drugs.
The investigation is ongoing.
