We Will Not Allow Anyone to Stage a Revolution or Block Roads in the Name of Injustice, Tavush Governor

Tavush Governor Hayk Chobanyan met with protesters at the governor's office and noted that their demands are illegal.  “Those whose issue is to engage in illegal activities, to engage in illegal deforestation, and organize sales, are promoting illegality and developing corruption in Armenia. You are currently standing here with 20 people; I know why you are here. Go around the streets of Ijevan and ask people their opinion on all this. They will say, punish those people because they have no right to destroy the forest that belongs to us,” said Chobanyan.

Regarding the detained individuals, Chobanyan stated that this issue falls within the jurisdiction of law enforcement agencies. He urged those present to go home and not continue the protests.
