Stability Achieved in the Electric Power System, Frequency Fluctuations No Longer Present: Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure

The Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia reports that the situation in the electric power system has stabilized and frequency fluctuations are no longer present.

The Yerevan Thermal Power Plant and the 5th energy block of the Hrazdan Thermal Power Plant are now connected to the grid. Electricity supply to all consumers has been restored.

It is recalled that frequency fluctuations occurred in Armenia's electric power system on July 10, resulting in the activation of protective systems at power plants. Initially, the 5th energy block of the Hrazdan Thermal Power Plant was disconnected, followed by the Yerevan Thermal Power Plant and smaller producers. A working group will be established to investigate the causes of the incident.
