No Nuclear Threat: Daniel Ioannisyan
Daniel Ioannisyan, head of the 'Informed Citizens' Initiative NGO, wrote on his Facebook page:
"We have confirmed from the nuclear power plant and other energy nodes that:
- The nuclear power plant has been under planned shutdown since June, and there is no nuclear threat.
- The Yerevan thermal power plant and the 5th energy block of Hrazdan are offline due to accidents (still due to an unclear coincidence).
- In general, only the hydropower plants are operating, which can provide about 30-40 percent of the country's needs. The Hrazdan thermal power plant also seems to be operational."
