Body of 9-Year-Old Boy Who Fell into Canal Found 2 Km from Site

On June 24, at 15:51, the "911" service received a call reporting that a 9-year-old boy had fallen into a canal near the circular intersection in the Vanatur neighborhood of Hrazdan, Kotayk Province. Rescue teams were dispatched to the scene.

Two operational groups from the Ministry of Emergency Situations' Fire and Rescue Service and a specialized water rescue unit from Sevan city responded to the emergency. Rescuers found the body of N.G. (born in 2009) approximately 2 kilometers from the place of the fall in the "Hrazdan" hydroelectric power plant's canal No. 3. The body was retrieved and brought to the ambulance for further assistance.
