Gazelle Strikes ZIL: Major Accident in Gegharkunik

On June 4, a major car accident occurred in the Gegharkunik region, as reported by Shamshyan.com.

Around 5:00 PM, a driver of an unknown make and license plate collided with a ZIL towing vehicle on the 17th kilometer of the Sevan-Marton-Getap highway and fled the scene.

The ZIL veered off the roadway, crashed into metal guardrails, and ended up overturned in a ravine, while a Gaz 3110 mounted on the ZIL flipped upside down.

According to preliminary information, there were no casualties from the accident.

Police received operational information indicating that the vehicle that hit the ZIL was a Gazelle, which was heading towards Gavar.

Traffic officers tracked down the fleeing driver and their vehicle shortly after the incident.

Materials regarding the case are being prepared at the police station.
