Ministry of Defense Caused 51.5 Million AMD Damage to State: Investigative Committee
The Military Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia has revealed that damage amounting to approximately 51,500,000 AMD has been inflicted on the state during the investigation of a criminal case initiated under Article 375, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Armenia.
This information was provided by the Information and Public Relations Department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia.
Specifically, in October 2015, a plot of land located in Yerevan was sold by the Ministry of Defense of Armenia through direct sale for 38,000,000 AMD. However, according to the conclusions of a court forensic, construction-technical, and financial examination commissioned during the investigation, the average market price of the land at the time of sale could have been around 89,500,000 AMD.
Thus, the damage inflicted on the state amounts to 51,500,000 AMD.
