Major Accident in Yerevan: One Driver Was Drunk and Caused a Disturbance at the Scene
A major traffic accident occurred in Yerevan. Yesterday, on June 2, at approximately 20:50, two vehicles collided in front of the electric station at 175 Artashat Highway. The cars involved were a VAZ 21120 driven by 44-year-old Gevorg Ghazaryan from Ararat Province, and a Volkswagen with license plate 35 RF 098 driven by 29-year-old Grigor Zohrapyan from Yerevan.
According to Shamshyan.com, as a result of the accident, the driver of the Volkswagen and his passengers—28-year-old Tsaghik Amirakhanian, 3-year-old Alex Zohrapyan, and 4-year-old Avetis Zohrapyan—sustained injuries and were taken to the 'Erebuni' Medical Center. After receiving first aid, they were transferred to the 'Holy Mother of God' Medical Center. The driver of the VAZ 21120 was also taken to the 'Erebuni' Medical Center.
As reported by G. Shamshyan, the driver of the VAZ 21120 underwent a sobriety test, which confirmed that he was driving under the influence. Moreover, he caused a real disturbance at the scene of the accident.
