Restoration of Over 825 Million AMD Damage Caused to the State
Active investigative and procedural actions continue in the proceedings of the territorial subdivisions of the RA Investigative Committee regarding obvious abuses committed by companies engaged in vehicle technical inspections, aimed at clarifying all circumstances and restoring damages caused to the state. To date, a total of 825,679,568 AMD has been restored from the damages caused to the state.
As previously reported, several companies operating in various regions of the republic and in the administrative districts of the capital, based on the appropriate license received from the RA Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technologies, conducted mandatory technical inspections of vehicles during which apparent abuses were committed, causing particularly large-scale damages to the state.
In connection with these cases, a total of 26 criminal cases have been initiated under Article 178, Part 3, Clause 1 of the RA Criminal Code. Seven individuals have been involved as defendants, against whom a preventive measure of signature not to leave has been applied.
After the restoration of damages caused to the state, 11 criminal cases have been dismissed based on the grounds of non-defendant, effective remorse and the restoration of damages caused to the state. One criminal case has been combined with another.
The territorial subdivisions of the RA Investigative Committee continue active investigative and procedural actions regarding the apparent abuses committed by companies engaged in vehicle technical inspections, to clarify all circumstances and to specify the volume of actual damage caused to the state. A total of 825,679,568 AMD has been restored from the damages caused to the state to date.
