Gas Prices at Filling Stations Rise by at Least 10 Percent
The newspaper "Zhamanak" reports that since May 1, gas across the entire country has been sold not by volume, but by weight. Despite assertions that gas prices would not increase, they have risen by at least 10 percent, and it is impossible to combat this even with administrative measures.
The issue is that under the new taxation system, the value-added tax paid by filling stations to the state has increased, making it no longer possible to conceal these costs.
Moreover, owners of filling stations incorporate any expenses or taxes into the final price, resulting in consumers bearing the brunt of the price hike.
