From Now On, I Will Only Wear Products from Armenian Designers – Anna Hakobyan
The wife of the Prime Minister of Armenia, Anna Hakobyan, who is also the chairwoman of the board of the charity foundations "My Step" and "City of Smile", visited the MADE Fashion corner store, which offers Armenian-produced items, yesterday and made several purchases.
During a conversation with one of the store's co-founders, designer Aram Nikolyan, Hakobyan stated, "I do not intend to make purchases in other countries, or in foreign brand stores available in Yerevan, and I won’t wear clothing produced in Italy, France, or any other country. In the coming days, people will see me in outfits that I can acquire from stores representing the works of Armenian designers. The more our designers develop and refine their work, the better I hope to look," requesting Nikolyan to convey these words to all fashion designers working in Armenia.
Nikolyan also noted that such a step is motivating and obliging.
